I have 4 years teaching experience in the area of Special Education, with an emphasis in reading, writing, and spelling. I have worked with using Orton-Gillingham approaches to reading instruction for students with moderate-severe reading disabilities. The programs that I have experience with are approved by the International Dyslexia Association, so they are suited for providing reading interventions for students with dyslexia.

I absolutely love teaching. My passion is teaching students how to read. I believe that reading is the most important academic skill that a child/person can possess.
I use the Orton-Gillingham (explicit, systematic, and multi-sensory) approach to reading instruction. All instructional methods for reading, spelling, and writing align with the Science of Reading.
