What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process in beginning a new tutor/student relationship is to start with a 30 minute conversation. I offer this complimentary session to each and every one of my prospective student in order to ensure a good fit. This initial strategy session will help us get clear on what it is exactly that you'd like help in and how we're going to get there. If either one of us finds I am not the right expert for you, I will do my utmost to find a trusted colleague who may be. If we decide to move forward together, I will begin by sending some "pre-work" sample assessments that measures your abilities in the said subject to get the ball rolling. Ultimately all decisions on pace and depth of work is up to the student - as is the nature of tutoring. I will walk with you from day one as guide and supporter.
