Hi! I'm Mariah, a dedicated college student currently pursuing three fields of study: Criminology, Sociology, and Psychology. My academic background has strengthened my communication, writing, critical thinking, and analytical skills—all of which I bring into every tutoring session.
English and Literature have always been my strongest subjects. Throughout elementary, middle, and high school, I consistently earned top grades in English Language Arts and Literature. I challenged myself by taking multiple Advanced Placement (AP) English courses, where I developed advanced reading comprehension, essay writing, literary analysis, grammar, and research skills.
I love helping students build confidence in their abilities, whether they need support with reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, vocabulary, literary analysis, or homework. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to explain concepts in ways that are engaging, patient, and easy to understand.
My goal isn't just to help students improve their grades—it's to help them become confident readers, writers, and critical thinkers. I strive to create a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress.
