As a Certified Speech Language Pathologist with over 20 years experience in the school setting, I am uniquely equipped to understand and provide instruction in the underlying skills required for reading success. I also have the educational background and experience to teach reading compression strategies.
I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. I am licensed to practice in Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Nevada, and California. I have also received teacher certification in special education.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will assess your student’s skills in the reading foundation skills of phonological awareness and in reading comprehension. I then use a systematic program designed to increase skills in deficit areas.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters degree in Communications Disorders.
