I am a full-time English Language Arts teacher in my community with an immense passion for the subject. I have been working with students since undergrad as a substitute teacher. Now, I enjoy pursuing my passion by helping students seeking extra assistance.
I love all aspects about the work that I do. Working with students on a subject that I’m passionate about is heaven for me. If I can help students better understand and enjoy what the English language has to offer a little more than when they came to me, I consider myself successful.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process for working with a new student is getting to know their personal interests first and incorporating those interests into the lesson by relating them to the topic at hand. I believe that real-world application helps students gain a better grasp and understanding of the subject as a whole.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked a substitute teacher while earning my undergraduate degree. I now have a B.S. in English Language Arts Education and work as a full-time teacher in my community.

My standard pricing system for lessons is simply $20 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I grew up in a family of educators, and after tutoring summer school after my freshman year of college, I simply fell in love with secondary education. I love seeing the pride of accomplishment on students’ faces after successfully conquering a difficult topic.
