Luna's Spanish Tutoring
About
Hi! I’m a native Spanish speaker who grew up in a bilingual educational environment, so I understand firsthand both the challenges and the rewards that come with learning and using more than one language. My love for language learning continued into college, where I spent a semester at the University of Seville participating in an intensive Spanish immersion program.
For the past five years, I’ve worked as a bilingual educator PreK-12 in the Washington, DC area, teaching a variety of subjects in bilingual and immersion classrooms. That experience has shaped my approach to teaching. I aim to create lessons that build confidence, and spark curiosity about the language.
I believe language learning should feel engaging, personal, and connected to real life. I enjoy incorporating popular media, such as music, film, television, and current cultural topics, into lessons to make learning more dynamic and help students connect with Spanish beyond the classroom. My goal is not just to help students improve academically, but to help them develop confidence, and a lasting appreciation for language learning.
I look forward to working together and creating a learning plan that fits your goals and pace.
