1 Way Tutoring
About
I love math and think about numbers all the time! My goal is to help students UNDERSTAND math and not just perform it. I have a Master's degree in Education but specifically counseling. This allows me to see problem areas and identify any hindrances or concerns before tutoring. A customized plan is put in place to help student maximize their time and efforts while considering weaknesses.
I love math because it builds on itself. Once you learn a concept, you can apply it to even more difficult problems. And every concept has an opposite concept (multiplication/division; distributive property/factoring)

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I want to hear from the student and parent about areas of concern. If a teacher has expressed the need for a tutor, I'd love to talk to him or her too! Show me your last few tests, and let's see what you already know. Then we can develop a plan of action together.
