Elementary Math Tutoring

When first meeting a student, I like to get to know them on a personal level (likes, dislikes, favorites, etc.). This will help me adjust activities and lessons to student interests. Based on the grade level, I will have a student complete a pre-test independently to gauge where they are in their learning. From there, I will plan lessons around the student’s prior knowledge and build on that knowledge with new content. All of my classes are enjoyable and fun! 

I have a degree in Early Childhood Special Education from The University of Alabama. I received “Highly Qualified Status” from my university. I have two teaching licenses from Alabama: PreK-3rd General Education and PreK-3rd Special Education. I just finished my first year teaching 3rd Grade Math and Science. This upcoming school year, I will be teaching 4th-5th grade Math and Science. 

My classes are priced based on time incriminating. I teach 30 minute classes for $15, 45 minute classes for $25, and 60 minute classes for $35. 

I have always had a passion for teaching. I began working with children in college. I have worked at multiple Early Childhood Intervention programs,  as well as completed practicums and internships in general education and special education ranging for ages 2 to 3rd grade. 

I have worked with all students of different abilities and skills! I have taught intervention classes, as well as general education classes.
