How did you get started teaching?
I have always wanted to teach. I've never known anything else. I knew this was the right path for me since I was a little girl.
I started out working at preschools and decided to pursue education as my full time career.
What types of students have you worked with?
All elementary age students, some high school and some college students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My favorite thing to see when I'm tutoring or teaching is to see the lightbulb finally turn on when a student understands something. The realization on their face when the work makes sense to them is the best thing ever! I strive to make students feel relaxed, not overwhelmed, and confident learning new material.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Try your best, that's the best you can be!
