Learn With Rachel G

I am a former elementary special education teacher who loves helping students have fun while learning! I currently specialize in helping students who are dyslexic learn how to read, but also have plenty of experience helping students who need math assistance! For reading instruction I used a Orton-Gillingham based program that is rooted in the latest reading science research.

I have worked with students with a variety needs and abilities at the elementary level. I strive to meet my students where they are and figure out the best way to get them where they need to be. I believe the most important way to do this is to build a positive relationship with students. I make sure my students know that we are a team who works together to find out how their brain learns, and if something I'm doing isn't working, it's my job to figure out a way to teach them that does work.
