About
As a tutor, I take pride in my student's success. I start out with general questions to probe the student's understanding before moving into more specific details. Generally, after the student understands the big picture, I tie in the smaller details with the big concepts and go over examples to make sure the student gets it. As a tutor and a student myself, I understand that a good tutor must be knowledgeable, compassionate, and appreicative of the student's business and time. If I don't understand something and we can't figure it out during our session, I will not charge you (plain and simple). I hope to be able to work with you! I also typically offer the first 30 minutes of my session free for long term clients.
I enjoy helping students feel heard and afford them the feeling that they are safe to ask questions if they simply "don't get it". I love tutoring students in ACT prep too because I love seeing them pick up on the silly things that ACT tries to do that are easily "hackable". In other words, I have a few tricks up my sleeve to boost your ACT score. I also love to tutor math, chemistry, physics, and biology. I have the equivalent of a minor in math, and have completed every math class from addition and subtraction through calculus III and linear algebra. I love physics because I love making the challenge "unchallenging". I look forward to working with you and hope to earn your business. Thank you for your time and interest in me.
