Alabama English, Math And Test Prep Tutoring
About
I am a college student with a 3.7 GPA, and I am a member of several honors societies. I actually truly enjoy learning, especially Math and English. I have saved all of my schoolwork, so my tutoring clients will have access to the actual materials, examples, and real writing prompts that they need in order to succeed.
I would love to help struggling students find their love for learning, and I believe any student can achieve whatever they want to achieve.
If my clients don’t pass their class, they recieve their money back guaranteed!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
During the first session, I begin by assessing the students knowledge of the subject, and compare that to the level they would like to achieve. For example, if a student needs English tutoring I would either look at an essay they wrote for school or give them a prompt and have them write a short essay. I would make note of and praise their strengths, and then tell them the areas they can improve on. For a first session of Math tutoring, I would ask them to bring in a recent test, or bring current schoolwork so I can know what concepts to work on. After finding out what area of Math they need tutoring in, I would make up a mock test and have them answer the problems. After checking for accuracy, I would go over each incorrect problem and explain why it is wrong, and show them how to do it correctly.
For the second session and beyond, I would work out any problems they need help with, and create notes for them listing any relevant information prior to the tutoring session. I would quiz them on what we learned prior to make sure they are retaining and actually learning the concepts rather than just memorizing.
