ACE Tutoring

I am a retired teacher with 35 years of experience working with students and young adults. I have experience teaching reading and math to struggling students. My belief is that all students can learn when provided an environment that encourages learners to learn in a way that meets their unique and individual learning needs. My students learn that it is ok to make mistakes and that these mistakes are part of the learning process. I teach using a variety of methods that include multisensory experiences and direct instruction. I make learning fun so that students enjoy the experience.

I am a lifelong learner and am constantly searching for new and improved ideas and methods. I have an Educational Specialist degree in Collaborative Education.

Small successes are important to me, My students are more than a test score. They are individuals, unique, and learn in different ways. I find what is best for each individual and adjust as they grow and succeed.
