Hi! My name is Sheryl!
Teaching has been my passion for the past 14 years now as I firmly believe that teaching with creative and innovative methods can be significant to students' learning. As a highly compassionate and approachable teaching professional, with 14 years of hands-on experience, I am confident in my ability to help you achieve your goals whether it's achieving English Fluency, IELTS or TOEFL results, Basic Grammar, Preparing for interviews.
I have taught Pre-primary to Year 10 in both the best private and international schools in Hong Kong and Spain and also all kinds of ages online starting from 5 year olds to adults. I have experience of teaching online for two years now. I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to instruct a variety of students from various cultures, backgrounds and a huge range of age group students.
After high school, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the university of New England and few years later I obtained my Master's of Education degree from the University of Bristol. I am also a certified and trained TESOL teacher from Trinity College of London.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I work with new students, I get to know them and their background in the first 10 minutes of the class. I share my experiences and warm up to them.
I also ask the students their goals and where do they feel stuck when learning English. I write down all the notes and I then make sure to let them know how my lessons flow and how I will help them achieve their goals.
Then, we get started with review and then by the end of lesson one , I know how to help my students. After that, I plan a personalised less plan before lesson 2 in order to target my students' goals specifically.
