My son has now been attending Academia Tutoring for almost 2 months and enjoys going. He receives tutoring 2x's/week for math and reading and has already made improvements and I look forward to his continual progress. Mrs. Salone has also identified other areas for us to tackle. I appreciate her dedication to students and families by making tutoring affordable and by being flexible with scheduling. She really takes on a holistic approach by ensuring my son is engaged and ready to learn. I have truly been impressed with her and I definitely recommend her center.

Ms. Cross is patient and explains thoroughly. She takes the time to make sure I understand every step. I was not as confident when I started and I was worried about not being prepared for the state exam. Once I completed my 3 week session, I left fully understanding all the material I should have learned during the year with my regular teacher. Ms. Cross has helped me so much! I passed my math state exam, almost mastering it and I ended the year with an A! I could not have done it without Ms. Cross helping me understand and build my confidence. I cannot wait to start prepping in July for my upcoming Freshman year!

Ms.Chistine was extremely helpful with tutoring my son. We specifically needed support with his upcoming 5th grade STAAR & entering 6th grade ISEE exams, which she provided. She was patient, straightforward, engaging, and kind. My son was able to quickly warm up to her. I really appreciated the strategies she taught him to use during his exams and we saw tremendous growth. (He mastered both exams!) I like Ryan because he is relatable. He is a good teacher but switches things up because he is still a young adult. I think hes able to teach me because hes still in touch with modern games and music. I find it fun even to learn from because its nice to be able to relate to a teaching figure. --- Kieran

Customized tutoring With hardly 2 weeks left for ACT, I wanted to get someone to help my daughter with Reading and English parts of the ACT test. Gabriela quickly put together a customized program, after meeting the first time that included homework outside of tutoring hours. After the second meeting (4 hrs total tutoring time), my daughter's practice tests saw a significant improvement (between 8 to 10 points). She was able to apply all strategies that Gabriela taught her. I highly recommend Gabriela for any of language help she provides but would personally recommend her for Reading and English sections of standardized testing. I feel she is highly skilled in customizing a tailored program for the student rather than a one size fits all approach.
