About
I'm Christine, and I graduated college in 2014, with a 3.8 GPA from Brown University. Since college, I've been a 7th grade teacher, RTI coordinator, and special education teacher. I work with all ages, so I know how curriculum builds, and help students who are missing concepts, but also those who are eager to get ahead.
I've been working with students in art and ELA for 7 years. I love to help students find their own passions and engage in meaningful learning. I have done extensive test preparation with students on STAAR, ISEE, Duke Tip, SAT, and ACT.
Since 2016, I've been tutoring 8-10 students per year. In my previous role at a local test prep company, I have created student-facing essay workshops, trained college essay staff and provided approval on final drafts, and guided students through the college application process. Former students have gained admission to DUKE, Northeastern, UT Austin, and highly selective BSMD programs

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
As an experienced interventionist and special educator who has worked in public Texas schools, I have written and accommodated K-12 curriculum to fit the needs of students with a vast range of ability. Because of this background, I know content, particularly language arts, from beginning learners to upper elementary & high school. Whether it is catching up or getting ahead, my experience in public schools helps me create & align material to best suit your child's needs. In addition, I can aid you in understanding IEPs and 504s, ensuring your student's needs are met within school.
