What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will ask a few questions to get a better understanding of the student and their situation so that I can provide excellent tutoring.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. I am certified by the Higher Learning Commission to teach Chemistry and Physics at the college and high school levels. I am a tenured chemistry/physics instructor at a community college. I also teach dual-credit courses at local high schools.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$50 per hour, payable by Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal before the beginning of the session. Please inquire about package discounts and sibling discounts.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching in my senior year of college doing a tutoring internship at the on-campus learning center.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have extensive experience working with a variety of students at the high school and college levels. I work with both traditional and non-traditional college students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have been tutoring/teaching for many years. It is very satisfying to hear from my former students about how successful they have been.
