Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always start by getting to know the student: what they like about the subject, how they think the subject might be applicable to their life/future, and what their goals are for the tutoring sessions. Then, I like to give them a brief assessment to see how best I can help.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been tutoring for six years. I've taught classrooms, small groups, and done one-on-one tutoring. I received formal training from the Ohio State Math and Statistics Learning Center.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard rate is $50/hour, but I am fortunate to be doing this because I love it. I'm committed to making sure that every students who needs help receives it: if pricing is an issue, please let me know.
